About

Roksana

Choosing a therapist is a personal decision, and finding someone who feels like the right fit is an important part of the process. Whether you are seeking support for yourself or your relationship, I believe therapy should be a place where you feel understood, accepted, and able to explore your experiences without judgement.

I work with adults from a wide range of professional, cultural, and personal backgrounds, including neurodivergent individuals, and tailor my approach to each person’s unique experiences, needs, and way of navigating the world.

Many of the people I support come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from themselves or those around them, or caught in patterns of anxiety, guilt, shame, burnout, people-pleasing, or relationship difficulties. Others seek support following traumatic experiences, significant life changes, or during periods of transition, including menopause.

A significant part of my work involves supporting neurodivergent adults and couples, including those in mixed-neurotype relationships. I recognise that different ways of thinking, communicating, and experiencing the world can bring both strengths and challenges. Rather than viewing neurodiversity through a deficit-based lens, I help clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves and one another.

Where appropriate, I integrate psychoeducation into therapy, making psychological knowledge accessible and relevant. This can help clients understand how neurodiversity, trauma, relationships, and life experiences may influence their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and ways of relating to others.

Alongside my private practice, I have delivered therapeutic services to NHS staff, supported students at a leading research university, and provided counselling to major international corporate, media, and broadcasting organisations. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked as a qualified Special Educational Needs teacher, an experience that continues to inform my understanding of learning differences, communication, and neurodevelopment.

These experiences have given me the opportunity to work with people from many different walks of life and have deepened my appreciation of the individual strengths, challenges, and stories each person brings to therapy.

I am an accredited psychotherapist, EMDR therapist, couples therapist, and clinical supervisor in training. Whatever has brought you to therapy, my aim is not simply to help you cope with life’s difficulties, but to help you understand yourself more fully, strengthen your relationships, and move towards a life that feels more authentic, connected, and fulfilling.

I believe meaningful change begins with understanding. Therapy offers an opportunity to develop that understanding and use it to create lasting change, both within yourself and in your relationships.

Approach

My approach is warm, thoughtful, and collaborative, while providing the structure and direction needed to support meaningful change. I aim to create an environment where you do not feel that you have to explain or justify who you are. Together, we explore the experiences, patterns, and relationships that have shaped your life, helping you make sense of what has brought you to therapy and consider how you would like your future to look.
